Texila American University is the only private school recognised by the Medical Council of Guyana (MCG) — a regulatory body formed to enhance and monitor the functioning of the medical fraternity in Guyana. The students who had cleared their exit examinations conducted by Texila American University are now registered with the Medical Council of Guyana and are eligible to practise as Doctors.
